We used the goof rings on a rehab job where the soffit was badly damaged. We were able to repair the drywall but there were spots that the ring on the light did not cover. It was cheaper and easier to use the goof rings and they worked out great.
Fits Perfectly but needs an inside lip to go over can ring.

After I went to replace my older 4 Foot hi-hats with a modern LED unit to replace the bulb, I was stuck with the fact that the older glass dome finish ring was over 6 Foot giving the newer light a Footring around the collar Foot. These Footgoof Foot rings were the perfect solution.
What a life saver. Such a simple fix with an elegant look. Everywhere I researched said that I would need to re-do the drywall or get larger recessed lights. I would recommend this to anyone. So easy, anyone can do it.
The ring covered nicely the ceiling openning
Exactly what I needed to fix poorly cut drywall openings. Covers it nicely and looks pretty good. Easy to install. The only complaint I have is that they are glossy and I would have preferred a matt finish. Will probably try spraying them to see if that gives me the look I want.
